ABOUT HER PHILOSOPHIA
Her Philosophia was born from a desire to create a safe, inclusive space for critical thinking, empathy cultivation, and community building. As someone deeply fascinated by different philosophies and ways of life, I wanted to create a platform where these discussions could flourish in a respectful and accessible manner. Here, I honor the wisdom of diverse voices and challenge the traditional boundaries of philosophical discourse.
At its heart, Her Philosophia also serves as a home for the findings of my ongoing research on the sexual liberation journeys of Black-Womxn. As a Black-Womxn myself, and a counselor who works closely with Black-Womxn, I have witnessed and navigated the complexities and stereotypes that society places on our sexuality. Through my research, I seek to highlight the nuanced, diverse experiences of Black-Womxn and provide deeper insights into the intersections of race, gender, and sexuality. This platform offers a space to explore those stories and elevate the voices of Black-Womxn who are reclaiming their sexual identities.
My mission is to promote intellectual curiosity and foster meaningful connections between individuals from all walks of life. Through the exploration of philosophical concepts, I aim to break down the barriers that too often separate us. Whether you're new to philosophy or well-versed in it, Her Philosophia is a space where every level of experience is welcome. I strive to make philosophy accessible, empowering, and applicable to real-world challenges—because, at its core, philosophy is for everyone.
This platform is the culmination of a colossal ancestral push to share knowledge, alongside my firm belief that education is a practice of freedom. As a multipotentialite, critical thinker, and emerging philosopher, I am endlessly curious. As both an educator and a mental health professional, I feel deeply called to share what I learn, experience, and believe.
